Staying in the Loop
If I could have told myself 2 years ago that I would soon turn into the girl who chooses podcasts over music, I would honestly laugh. Unfortunately, that is exactly what I have become. I wanted to share with everyone a few of my favorite podcasts and explain why. This past year, as I have said many times, I have realized that there are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done that I would like to. I catch myself looking up career stuff during class or reading the latest pop culture gossip when I should be studying. However, because of my discovery of podcasts I feel like my time in the car is used much more effectively.
The first podcast that I found is actually responsible for me even becoming interested in podcasts. Its called The Morning Breath and is led by two girls about my age (a couple years older). Before you rush off to listen to it, I must warn you. When you first hear their voice, you are going to wonder what in the world you are listening to. They sound like two very uneducated girls straight out of the Valley. BUT, as you listen they are actually very educated young adults, they both attended NYU and just recently made this podcast a big deal. I love this podcast because it allows me to catch up on pop culture events and also hear a little humorous commentary for long rides.
The next podcast that I found is called Goal Digger, which is basically what I listen to when I need little career motivation and feel like I need to get my life together. Jenna, the hosts, provides a lot of insightful points and just hearing her share stories has already helped me a ton.
