Bloom Where You're Planted
I decided to take a little bit of a different approach for this blog and talk about something that I have been thinking a lot about lately. In the midst of searching for a job, almost all other aspects of my future have been brought up. At first, I panicked. As a twenty something I didn't feel prepared to make all of these decisions about my future. Not only would I be applying to jobs where I could potentially be for multiple years, it also impacts your living situation, your social life and your love life. Like I said, when I began to think about making all of these decisions I started freaking out. However, I was walking through Target one day (buying more things than I needed) and I walked past a framed poster that said "Bloom where you are planted." Since I saw that, I felt a weight come off my shoulders in the past few weeks while making these decisions about my future. Personally, this has come as a reminder that no matter where I end up and whatever decision I make (right or wrong) I have the ability to decide my attitude and life in that location.
I wanted to share this because I am hoping that I am not the only one in my position that is nervous for the future. I feel like we have so much pressure put on us to make the right decision, with very little information given to us. I hope that this provides just a little bit of positivity for people who are in my situation and serves as a reminder that we are completely in control of our actions no matter where we end up.
